Geoff Gwilym, VACC Executive Director

Geoff Gwilym began his automotive career in the UK, where he undertook a vehicle body making apprenticeship, and practiced his trade for 10 years, both in the UK and Australia. Mr Gwilym has also worked for the Real Estate Institute of Victoria and spent one year at the University of Melbourne, before leading the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council and Auto Skills Australia.

An experienced automotive industry authority, Mr Gwilym can offer commentary on: industry policy; skills, training and apprenticeships; automotive research trends; new and used vehicle sales; mechanical servicing and repair; crash repairs; fuel issues; farm and industrial machinery; tyres and tyre recycling; vehicle insurance issues; choice of repairer; dismantling and recycling; accident towing services; service stations and convenience stores; truck and commercial vehicle body making; the vehicle rental industry; alternative fuels; electric vehicles; and women in automotive.
