News

VACC publishes regular media releases and publications, and hosts events relating to automotive industry issues.

A VACC initiative, Woman in Automotive (WinA) is a network of women who work or operate businesses in the automotive. It was established in late 1999. WinA has a Committee of ten women from across the industry, including regional Victoria.

VACC members also receive access to technical, Industrial Relations (IR) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) resources.

Visitors to the VACC website may also be interested in our extensive consumer information section, covering a range of subjects including buying, repairing and maintaining a safe vehicle, and other useful industry links.

Advocacy

The VACC's Government and Public Affairs Department maintains an active approach to policy issues through monitoring, analysis, and research, and makes regular submissions to government that reflect VACC’s position on legislation and regulatory proposals.

VACC Industrial Relations and the OHS and Environment Units represent members’ views to State and Federal Governments. We make regular submissions to public inquiries on all workplace issues.
